Lots of comments say it’s poor ppl behavior and doesn’t apply to Jamaicans only. I disagree. I’ve been in various developing countries esp. in Africa. E.g in south Sudan ppl give their last dime to invite you over in their house. It’s about integrity and grace. I like the energy of Jamaicans but the majority of them lack classic values and vices - Jamaica is the embodiment of capitalism.

Incompletely agree ,i would say this all the time but wheni found out thier whole economy is built off tourism & they have absolutely no access to the beach now the resort build fences so the natives can't sell they goods rent j e t skis beach bars ,etc they now have giant brick walls blocking so the people that live thier can't even enjoy the beach period one fisherman has to walk or ride bike 5miles.to 12miles to go fishing & they lie & tell the tourist not to go off the resort because they will be robbed ,it is dangerous in parts.of Jamaica but the government give this rich resort power to cut off the people from making money off the land so jet business, shops were they sell things they make or souvenirs to sell once i found tbis out i see why some Jamaicans might come off as trying to get over but the agree pay from the resort is 200 a month, which is nothing, they charge the tourist $200-500 a night rooms but pay the people nothing, look it up its a yt video on it

i was deployed to iraq and i went there thinking they wanted me dead and were bad people. however my time there was completely different. they were the nicest and genuine people i ever met. apart from the small group of them who were trying to take us out. Iraqi people are amazing
